Welcome to our site. WeSellYourGuitar.com!!
You want to sell your valued guitar but you don’t want to use eBay or gumtree because of the fees, risks of scam merchants, flaky buyers, strangers visiting your house to haggle with you and the added hassle of packaging and shipping your instrument! We have seen so many people in this position so here we are now with ‘wesellyourguitar.com’ a transparent service designed to take the hassle out of selling because we do all the work for you!
We offer you a solution where we achieve the maximum possible monetary return for you with absolutely zero risk
It works like this…
You send us the details of your instrument via our site or pop into the shop at CC Music, 33 Otago Street, Kelvinbridge, G12 8JJ and we’ll appraise your instrument to ascertain its market value.
We have a chat with you and discuss what you’re hoping to realise from the sale of your guitar.
We then thoroughly check the instrument over to determine its condition and playability. By checking for any faults or problems which might adversely affect its resale value, we can remedy these before we put it on sale.
Should your instrument require any work carried out in order to make it fit for resale then the work will be carried out to the highest standard by our in house technicians at Jimmy Egypt’s Guitar Repair Shop.
We will agree the work required and the cost of the work with you in advance. Usually we can determine this on the spot. We will not carry out any work if not agreed with you or authorised by you.
We then book your instrument into our database and generate a description of the instrument. You can advise us of any relevant points you’d like to describe.
Where applicable* we will clean, restring and setup your instrument to make it present and play at its best. This work will include:
– Check for initial problems at book in
– Log settings and serial number into database
– Adjustment of Truss Rod for proper neck relief
– Set intonation compensation
– Set string arc (saddle height)
– Adjust action as required
– Set pickup height and string balance
– Redefine nut slots or shim and recut nut as required
– Clean & treat fingerboard
– Polish frets
– Check all hardware for correct operation
– Tighten machine heads and pot/socket nuts
– Oil metal moving parts
– Lubricate pots and switches
– Tighten strap buttons

In addition to the cost of a new set of strings there will be a £30 charge for this work discounted from the standard £55 charge from Jimmy Egypt’s Guitar Repair Shop.
Any required repair work (for instance a faulty pot or jack socket or damaged machine head) will be agreed with you and then carried out by us prior to placing the instrument on sale.
The repair costs and initial setup costs (if applicable) is payable only when the item is sold. The repair cost will then be deducted from the final settlement payable to you.
If you decide to remove the instrument before the end of a 30 day period following the date of leaving the instrument with us the repair cost and strings will be payable in full as will the setup cost but it will be charged at the full rate of £55 and not the discounted rate of £30.
